A Boring Introduction
Just a short intro here, we’re not really into this policies things. We’re not gonna lie, we hate it, but in response to the issue of GDPR stuff (we assumed you’ve heard about it since it’s all over the internet now), especially when it’s really coming by May 25th, 2018. We’ll try not to be so formal and boring about this, but also try to cover what’s necessary. So here it is… Casually writing…
Terms of Use
You know this is a personal blog, right? We think by default you land on our blog you will immediately notice that this is a personal blog, owned by us (Leonard & Steffia). If you’re not aware of it, let us make it clear, this is a personal blog, guys.
Therefore, since this is our personal blog, so everything written on this blog in every post is very very subjective to our thoughts, our experiences, and our opinions. It all subjective, alright? So we take zero accountability to every decision of yours that you make because you read something on our blog. You responsible for yourself, grow up. Cool? So if you accessing this blog, by any means, you are agreeing to our policies.
But if you do find something has changed than what we provide on this blog or maybe something misleading, inaccurate, or no longer relevant, please do email us at hello@wanderingdejavu.com. We’ll take a look at it.
Disclaimer
As with most travel blogs on the internet, this blog also has affiliate links. What is that? Sort of a form of business practice that gives us some commissions if sales happened from links on our site. Google it.
And with that mentioned, also as most travel bloggers (everybody, actually), we need money to maintain this blog, to make a living, etc. So yeah, we do receive compensation from it. There are also probably some sponsors and advertisers to support this blog, probably always, probably not.
Those links that lead to exit our blog to third-party websites, has nothing to do with us in terms of what they sell, provide, say, and display. Once you’re on their site, please refer to their policies to avoid unnecessary things. Just to make it clear, we do not hold any responsibility for your purchases as well. Do your reading before buying.
If you want to interact and leave a comment on our blog, please comment in the most human and civilized way possible. We won’t allow any stupid, vulgar, aggressive, basically bad comments. Nuff said.
Copyright
Since we do everything by ourselves, that is; traveling, thinking, writing, photographing, editing, etc; therefore it’s safe to say, we own all the copyright to the content on this site unless stated otherwise. There are some exceptions, such as the use of some external resources such as our friend’s photo or we quote some writing or inspiration from other sources. But it will be stated clearly.
With that being said, none of our material on our site may be copied, taken, or reprinted for any use without our consent. It would be nice if you ask for our permissions first rather than playing cat and mouse on this issue. We’re really flexible about this if you would just ask us nicely. You know where to email us.
Privacy Statement
Everybody hate spammers, alright. Let’s agree on that first. And we’re not the kind of bloggers like to spam people anyway, so we are not collecting any of your data (such as names, emails) without you knowing it and willingly provide (type in) your data.
Any of your data that you type-in voluntarily on this blog is kept private and will never be used for other purposes such as selling it to other parties. We’re too lazy to do that, and we’re not in that business anyway. So, yeah…
We only collect your name and email (also website, if you have one, in the comment section) on this blog. That if you decide to give one. And if somehow you felt like you want your data deleted from our server, you can always reach out to us at hello@wanderingdejavu.com by providing enough information about who you are. If you find our e-newsletter annoying and you want to stop getting one, there’s always that unsubscribe button at the bottom of that email.
And like we mentioned earlier above, there are advertisers to support this blog. These advertisers (include ad networks) may collect information sent by your browser, both computers or mobile devices, such as unique ID, IP addresses, or other data. We do not hold any accountability to any of these third-party privacy policy practices. Again, please refer to their sites to learn how they collect your information.
Lastly, we used google analytics to help us understand better about our visitors and how to put the best practice on our blog. What it does is it collect data on our visitors, like IP addresses, the browser you use, devices you use, etc. It’s only for analytic purposes, nothing else. You can refer to google analytics terms of use on their page.
Finally, after theses boring so-called policy… We might still change these policies, though. Will make sure to provide the best information possible. Any changes will be clearly shown ‘when’ at the beginning of this page.
If you have anything you want to talk about or ask regarding all of the stuff above, just shoot us an email.
Alright then, have a nice day!
